Divorce and Separation Training (40 hrs)
This comprehensive five-day course provides students with the opportunity to acquire skills in mediating all the issues in separation and divorce cases. The course covers every phase of case management from initial contact to closure and includes the following topics; child custody, visitation, child support, property division, finances, marketing your practice, and the legal and psychological aspects of separation and divorce. The training schedule includes a section on domestic violence as well as ethical standards of practice in mediation.
Issues in Child-Custody Mediation
This advanced family-mediation training course uses lectures and demonstrations of mediation techniques to introduce parental-alienation syndrome and individuation of spouses, and to teach mediators how to maintain a child-focused custody mediation, work out trial custody arrangements, and resolve communication difficulties. A half-day program.
